Glenn Robert Boyes is a York born English Artist who now divides his time between his home in Derbyshire and Los Angeles, California. His work is described as Abstract Impressionist Colourist and Mid Century Modern.
Glenn is widely known for his Imagined Cityscapes where he simultaneously balances Form and Structure with Mood and Emotion. In addition Glenn’s interpretations of Landscape, Seascape and Still Life have widened his appeal with many collectors.Using multiple layers of glazes added to an Impasto style use of Acrylics and Oils to create Body, Texture and a Translucency in all of his works.
Glenn describes his work as his life. “The inspiration for every piece of work comes from a lifetime of images and experiences stored away until released by the brush or knife”.
Glenn’s work is now in a growing number of private collections both here and abroad including many large scale commissioned paintings.
